Sonia's Christmas Sale

It was time for the annual sale in the barn at White Lodge on Sunday 2nd December. The weather did not agree but nothing stops the greyhound support activities. The winds blew and the rain came down in torrents but this did not deter the crowds who came to the event. The neatly set up field soon turned ominously muddy as the cars drove along - after all you don't keep your dog in because it's raining.

The barn looked its own magnificent best with its gleaming Christmas decorations and the stalls were full and everybody looked as though they were enjoying themselves. The stall holders busied themselves serving and selling their goods and the many dogs greeted their friends while the owners discussed all that had happened since the last event. The dogs and especially the many greyhounds were on their very own particularly good behaviour comparing and discussing their latest fashions for the colder weather that lays ahead. "I prefer a red jacket for this time of the year - it's so near Christmas" - "I prefer blue"!

Everybody was in the best spirits with the time of year and good funds were raised towards the upkeep of the kennels and for the common cause of the charity.
